Description
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the traditional St. Martin's parade will take place in Enkirch. Starting at 4:30 pm, participants will gather in front of the Old School on Priesterstraße to begin marching around 5:00 pm. The procession will pass the weekly market through the picturesque Königstraße and Modches Kehr up to Herrenberg, where the large St. Martin's bonfire awaits at the motorhome parking area.
St. Martin, mounted on horseback, will be accompanied by the Enkirch Winegrowers' Band, the volunteer fire brigade, and the Red Cross. At the fire, the children will present the story of Saint Martin, accompanied by the musical sounds of the Winegrowers' Band.
After the performances, it will be time for the traditional St. Martin's pretzel, which will be given to all the children. This sweet pastry symbolizes community and sharing—the values St. Martin stands for. Afterwards, the community invites everyone to a cozy gathering where we can celebrate St. Martin and his deeds in the typical Enkirch way with drinks, punch, mulled wine, and a snack. Join in and experience this beautiful tradition!

Local Mayor
It would be wonderful if residents along the parade route would decorate their houses with lights.
Firewood delivery for the St. Martin's bonfire (no painted wood and no bulky waste!!) can be made on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the usual location in the Mosel foreland.
