St. Nicholas Market Bad Rappenau
Description
The St. Nicholas Market invites you to cozy stalls, handmade gifts, Christmas treats, and music. Kids can do crafts and meet St. Nicholas. In a warm, festive atmosphere, you can relax and enjoy the Advent season.
It’s that time again – the St. Nicholas Market 2025 is ready to start! On Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, the pedestrian zone will turn into a festively decorated Christmas village once more.
Christmas offerings and activities
About 20 stalls – lovingly run by local clubs, kindergartens, and school classes – invite you to browse, snack, and explore. You’ll find Christmas items, handmade goods, and of course lots of treats. The little ones are taken care of too: there’s a carousel and sweet snacks waiting!
Official start of the St. Nicholas Market
Both days kick off at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, Mayor Sebastian Frei will welcome the guests at the opening. From 7:00 p.m., Fuego Diego will light up the evening with his spectacular fire juggling, warming hearts and sparking smiles.
St. Nicholas visits
Following a longstanding tradition, Bishop Nicholas will visit on December 6 and bring a small gift for every well-behaved child. Also, the women's group MOSAIK from Fürfeld invites you to craft in the town hall foyer: there you can make funny snowmen and reindeer. Participation is free – but the group appreciates small donations.
Musical performances
The festive mood continues with contributions from the Evangelical Kindergarten Friedensstraße, students from the Verbundschule, the Bad Rappenau schools’ school orchestra, the Unterer Neckar music school, and the Bad Rappenau trombone choir.
Culinary variety
Sweet or savory – there’s something for everyone: cookies, roasted almonds, Christmas stollen, crêpes, waffles, and cakes, as well as bratwursts, meatloaf sandwiches, tarte flambée, fries, plus mulled wine, children’s punch, and hot chocolate.
Shops open downtown
It’s not just the market that invites you to linger – many stores in the pedestrian zone and city square will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday.
Atmospheric mood
Both days offer visitors a cozy, pre-Christmas celebration for all ages. Flickering fire bowls create a warm and inviting ambiance. Let yourself be enchanted by the cozy vibe and enjoy some carefree hours during the Advent season!
