South Tyrol Gardenissima KIDS

Young skiers aged 6 to 16 can race on the same slopes as the adults with the Gardenissima KIDS 🎿. Since 2014, the children’s giant slalom has taken place the day after the adult South Tyrol Gardenissima, and this is the 12th edition of the race.

The race starts at Seceda and finishes at the base station of the Fermeda chairlift. The kids’ course covers 1.9 km with a height difference of over 350 metres. The youngest racers in the Baby and Super-Baby categories take on a shortened course, and a family category lets an adult’s result be combined with a child’s result from the kids’ slalom, so the whole family can take part together.

Clubs can also turn the race into a team competition.

• Club Trophy: clubs must field at least 20 children, and the five best results per category count toward points
• Bonus points reward clubs for the distance they travel to the race
• The top-scoring club wins €3,000 and becomes the Gardenissima KIDS partner club, displaying the race logo on its bus or club clothing for a season 🏆

Before the race, the racers hold an autograph session on Friday at the Kulturhaus Oswald von Wolkenstein, a chance for young fans to meet them up close.
