Tübingen Christmas Market

On the third Advent weekend of the year the atmosphere on Tübingen’s historic market square could not be more romantic. Over 350 light-decorated stalls stand closely packed in the old town lanes.

Unlike many other Christmas markets in the country, almost everything here is made with heart and by hand: home-cooked, knitted, carved, crafted, turned, thrown on the potter’s wheel, painted, carpentered ...

For three days the visitor can watch, enjoy and buy here. Thus

many an astonished guest will resolve to try one thing or another

themselves over the year or simply come

back next time. A highlight is the performance of the Feuerzangenbowle on

Friday at 7 PM on Haagtorplatz – and the children may

look forward to the carousel again.

Saturday and Friday until 9 PM, Sunday until 7 PM.
