Ulm Christmas Market
Description
When Münsterplatz transforms into a sea of lights, the Ulm Christmas Market becomes a magical meeting place. In front of Germany's tallest church tower, craftsmanship, cuisine, and music combine to create a unique city experience.
During the weeks leading up to Christmas, the Ulm Christmas Market forms the atmospheric heart of the city. Right on Münsterplatz, against the impressive backdrop of the Ulm Minster, a small 'city within the city' arises year after year. Festively decorated wooden stalls line the square, creating a cozy yet open atmosphere.
The offerings range from regional specialties and warming drinks to high-quality crafts, toys, and lovingly designed Christmas decorations. For children, carousels and a sheepfold with live animals provide quiet, slow-paced experiences right in the middle of the city. For four weeks, the market sets the urban rhythm of the pre-Christmas season.
Daily music and singing performances in front of the Minster's main portal give the market a special soundscape. Whether for a quick stop to enjoy some mulled wine, a leisurely stroll around the stalls, or a gathering with friends – there are plenty of reasons to visit.
Thanks to its direct connection to the Ulm pedestrian zone, the Christmas market pairs perfectly with a shopping trip – short distances, a lively city center, and a historic setting blend harmoniously here.
