Description

The Christmas market in Weilburg enchants with a very special charm on the third and fourth weekends of Advent.

On the marketplace, a Christmas-decorated village spreads out under the sparkling tent of lights inviting you to stroll, discover, and stay awhile.

In the lovingly decorated wooden huts, visitors will find a wide selection of handicrafts and gift ideas.

The offerings range from handmade jewelry, wood, fabric, and plaster decorations, to natural soaps, candles, and Christmas decor, as well as self-sewn and knitted items, small artworks, and other lovingly crafted unique pieces. Regional and special gourmet products such as honey, vinegar and oil, liqueurs, delicacies, and other homemade specialties also invite you to browse.

Of course, culinary delights are not forgotten: classics like bratwurst, fries, potato pancakes, and crêpes meet churros, cheese spaetzle, rösti, Kaiserschmarrn, goulash soup, and other hearty and sweet treats. Waffles, baked apples, and all kinds of Christmas sweets complete the offer. For cozy warmth, there’s vineyard mulled wine and various mulled wine creations, children’s punch, hot apple juice, and other winter drinks. Hot Aperol, mulled gin, and winter spritz variations also offer some special alternatives to classic mulled wine.

A carousel for the little guests rounds off the diverse offerings of the Weilburg Christmas market.

A special experience awaits visitors on both Advent weekends: Our 'Princess Henriette' visits the Christmas market on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 6 PM. During this time, she is happy to take photos together for memories. And if you like, she will make it a bit fairy-tale like: on request, Princess Henriette tells the story of the Christmas tree and how it came from Weilburg to Austria.

Market times:

Friday 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Saturday 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sunday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The city of Weilburg wishes you a wonderful Advent season!
