Winter in the Viking Houses Haithabu for Children with (Grand) Parents

Description
In winter, the people of Haithabu retreated to their warm firesides, shared stories of their summer experiences, and prepared goods for the coming year. We continue this tradition today. Accompanied by a host, children and (grand)parents dive into life 1,000 years ago on their way to the Viking houses. What did it actually mean to travel to Haithabu in all weather? What dangers awaited along the way, and how did people live in the Viking settlement during winter? What was a typical day like, what tasks needed doing, and how did they pass the time? All these questions are answered during this time travel, and there will be a treat: flatbreads are baked over an open fire.
