Welcome to Allerauenpark – the new leisure and recreation spot right in the middle of Celle! Here you’ll find spaces for movement, playgrounds, and spots to pause that are open to all generations. Along the northern arm of the Aller, a diverse landscape invites you to be active, discover something new, or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Aller island.

The gateway to Aller island

Right at the East Entrance, the way into the park opens up: a spacious plaza with seating areas, tree islands, and a direct path to Aller beach forms the lively entrance gate. With around 120 newly planted trees, a diverse foundation for the future has been laid – from oak clusters and ornamental apples to red maple and Himalayan birches.

Three areas – many possibilities

Allerauenpark features three clearly designed themed zones inviting discovery:

Be active (red): Climbing, swinging, street workouts, basketball, or table tennis – movement is the program here, right at Schützenplatz.

Play & linger (yellow): Families will find ideal spots near the new residential area for running, jumping, and shared experiences.

Pause & observe (green): In the western section, rest and views take center stage. Seating steps, benches, and platforms invite you to gaze out over the open Aller floodplain.

A park for all the senses

Whether sporty, playfully curious, or relaxed – Allerauenpark is a place for meeting people and a new highlight for Celle. Its east-west pathway connection creates short routes between the old town and harbor city, opens new perspectives, and makes Aller island a lively part of the city.
