Alternativer Wolf- und Bärenpark Schwarzwald

When you visit Alternativer Wolf- und Bärenpark Schwarzwald, you’re not visiting an ordinary animal park. This is a special project run by the STIFTUNG für BÄREN. And as you can tell from the word "Alternativer," this park does things differently.

The rescued residents of the park have often been through terrible experiences – circuses, small cramped cages, abuse from tourism, or illegal trade. But that is finally over: on 10 hectares of forest and meadow, they can now experience what it means to be a wild animal, and you can watch them do just that!

Visitors can look forward to discovering bears, wolves, and lynx, as well as enjoying a nature playground, an exciting explorer trail, guided tours and events, plus freshly prepared food and refreshments at our log cabin, Bärenblick.

On the first Saturday of every month, we invite you to the evening event "Night at the Bear Park."

What’s rustling in the bushes? A wolf?

The path through the open area quickly turns into a safari. Thickets, open spaces, and small groves alternate along the stream in the enclosures. Something rustles in the bushes. At the back by the blackberry hedge – isn't that a wolf’s ear poking out?
