Altes Sägewerk - vom Baum zum Brett

When you visit the old sawmill you experience how a tree becomes a board. The fully operational historic frame saw (since 1929) is run as a demonstration saw and can be put into operation for registered groups. 🪚

The tours are aimed especially at school classes and groups: practical demonstrations show how arduous sawing was and what technology is behind it.

Local project leaders personally guide you around the site and tell the history of the frame saw – the presentation emphasizes preservation and passing on as cultural heritage.
