Altmühltaler Mühlenmuseum
Description
Altmühltaler Mühlenmuseum is the last operational mill in the Altmühltal – an exciting family adventure with over 540 years of history, powered solely by the waters of the Weißen Laaber.
The historic Rengnathmühle building, first mentioned in 1467, offers an authentic experience of the craftsmanship and technology of bygone days.
You can explore an exhibition about the first electric power generation in Dietfurt, as the mill supplied electricity to the entire town from 1897 to 1950.
Several times daily, guided tours invite you to experience the fascinating water-powered milling process live – an exciting insight for both young and old.
