Amerika Tierpark Limbach-Oberfrohna

Description
The facilities are arranged around the picturesque so-called "Dreierlenteich," where animals from various groups of the animal kingdom can be observed.
Opened in 1959, the zoo currently houses 300 animals across 71 species and breeds. Special attractions include "Flamingoland," completed in 2013, and "Penguinland," opened in 2016 – two modern, walk-through, netted enclosures for South American swamp and water birds, and South American coastal birds, respectively.
In "Penguinland," there are two guided feedings daily (around 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.). A playground and petting zoo, as well as a small Native American village, provide children with a pleasant change of pace and guarantee a relaxing and interesting visit. Once a year, Amerika Tierpark Limbach-Oberfrohna hosts a children's festival.
