Auebad: Frei- und Hallenbad an der Fulda

365 days of swimming funThe Auebad Kassel is popular with Kassel residents and visitors alike because it combines indoor and outdoor pools in a modern way. During winter, you can relax in the warm indoor area or enjoy the sauna, while in summer the pool becomes a popular outdoor meeting spot.

The spacious outdoor areas with lawns, sun terraces, and outdoor pools create a true summer vibe right in the city – directly next to the Karlsaue park. At the same time, the indoor sections remain open year-round, allowing for sports, leisure, and relaxation regardless of the weather.

This very combination makes Auebad special for many: swimming laps in the indoor pool in the morning, then relaxing outside or spending the day with your family at the outdoor pool. This way, the pool blends sporting activities with an urban leisure atmosphere and is one of the city’s most popular swimming venues all year round.

Generous swimming pools, a varied sauna area, and modern wellness offerings make Auebad a favorite destination for families, sports enthusiasts, and those seeking relaxation alike. While active guests swim laps in the 50-meter pool, children enjoy the adventure zones and the 116-meter-long tube slide. The light-filled architecture along with many seats and loungers creates a friendly and relaxed environment.

Auebad is open all year. The outdoor pool season usually starts on May 1 and lasts – depending on the weather – until mid-September.

The outdoor area is currently closed. The next outdoor pool season is expected to begin on May 1, 2027.
