Auesee Wesel

Description
Auesee Wesel, formed by gravel extraction in the Rhine meadows, covers 160 hectares in a picturesque floodplain landscape near the Rhine. Parts of the lake are designated as a nature reserve, while other areas are reserved for water sports. The lake offers a variety of recreational activities, including well-maintained walking paths, a mini golf course, and other sports facilities that make it an attractive spot for relaxation on the outskirts of Wesel. In summer, the lake attracts many visitors with a designated non-swimmer area, a sandy beach, and a 60,000-square-meter lawn for sunbathing. The safety of bathers is ensured by the DLRG on weekends and during school holidays. Water sports enthusiasts such as sailors, surfers, and divers find ideal conditions here. On land, a mini golf course, beach volleyball courts, and disc golf complement the recreational offerings.
