Auricher Familien- und Wohlfühlbad de Baalje

Aurich sets the standard for swimming and relaxation. The family and wellness pool is called "Auricher Familien- und Wohlfühlbad de Baalje." Located in the heart of East Frisia, water lovers and sauna fans can look forward to a lot. Here, the indoor pool experience protected from the weather meets the city beach in the outdoor pool area. Divided into four theme areas – Sports & Fun, City Beach, Sauna Landscape, and Brine Pool – Aurich offers: bathing and sauna – enjoy East Frisian style.

Sports and Fun

You can have fun on the 65-meter adventure slide, which offers a bit of thrill with a transparent section. For the daring, there are one-, three-, and five-meter diving boards. Swimmers and athletes will appreciate the six-lane, 25-meter swimming pool and the teaching pool. And if you like it cozy-warm, you can unwind in the 32° Celsius warm-up pool.

City Beach

A beach right in the city? That’s exactly what Aurich offers: over 900 square meters of swimming fun in an outdoor pool with eight 25-meter lanes, a non-swimmer pool, and even a special toddler play area with sun protection. This ensures a bathing experience for the whole family. The sandy beach naturally also includes a lawn area for sunbathing and a playground – just like a real beach.

Sauna Landscape

Sauna sessions help you relax and strengthen the immune system. De Baalje offers an extensive range with five different saunas. Indoors, you can enjoy a Finnish sauna, a soft sauna, and a steam bath. Additionally, in the 400 sqm sauna garden equipped with a covered atrium, there is an event sauna and an earth sauna. Of course, besides the fireplace lounge indoors, there are also two relaxation rooms. And in the adjoining sauna restaurant, you can recharge before your next sauna session.

Brine Pool

With a salt content of 3% and a water temperature of 34° Celsius, the outdoor brine pool surprises visitors. Nine bubbling loungers and massage jets invite you to relax. The underwater effect lighting creates a great atmosphere. The brine water is said to have particularly healing effects on the body.
