Baakenpark

Baakenpark is a multifunctional park covering about 1.6 hectares by the Baakenhafen basin on Baakenallee in the east of Hamburg’s HafenCity. It is designed to meet the needs of all residents in the new Baakenhafen neighborhood and park visitors. The Baakenhafen district is still under development as of 2018, with some buildings and residential homes already completed while others are still being built or planned. The Baakenhafen neighborhood aims to be a socially balanced, urban area where residents of all ages feel comfortable with Baakenpark as the green heart – including students from the nearby university, seniors, students of the future elementary school at Lola-Rogge-Platz, children, employees of surrounding and future companies, and visitors.
