Description

The Bank Austria Park on the Obere Alte Donau is a blend of nature and art, ideal for a family stroll 🌳. Across roughly 2.8 hectares of park grounds, you'll find 14 contemporary artworks by 13 international artists, plus a work by André Heller himself. The park is also affectionately called André-Heller-Park and is divided into several artistically designed zones that you can explore one after another.

The artworks are numbered on the site map, so the art trail through the park is easy to explore on your own 🎨.

Highlights include:

  • Märchenbach by Peter Pongratz, a playful work centered on a stream.
  • Die Geschichtenerzählerin by Edgar Tezak, a work about storytelling.
  • Der Flüsterstuhl by Moritz Misrahi, a seat for sitting down and listening.
  • Blue Lumes by Karl Karner and Vienna Mountain by Ugo Rondinone, colorful eye-catchers along the path.

Wind and air play a role at several stations, for example “Die Gestalt des Windes” by Era Tsao, “Windbilder” by Monika GilSing and “Atemluft” by Xenia Hausner. “Die Wasserwächterin” by André Heller also suits the waterside location well.
