Bergbaumuseum Siciliaschacht Meggen

The Bergbaumuseum Siciliaschacht Meggen invites you to dive deep into the fascinating world of mining. The museum is located in the fully preserved former Siciliaschacht shaft and features numerous interesting exhibits with clear explanations, as well as a film about mining methods, ore processing, and the further refinement of concentrates.

One of the two hoisting machines is operated as a live demonstration – here you can experience firsthand how work was done in the past.

In the tunnel, known as the "Stolln," the work of the miners is vividly explained, making it especially engaging and educational.

The site includes a variety of original mining facilities:
