Description

Brückenkopf-Park Jülich covers 30 hectares and combines historic and modern elements into a versatile recreational area. At the center of the park is a Napoleonic fortress known as the Kronwerk. The activity areas, harmoniously integrated into the landscape, offer both relaxation and adventure. Well-maintained gardens and playgrounds like “Kind & Kegel,” as well as water play areas and mini-golf, are especially appealing to children. Older visitors can enjoy climbing rocks, disc golf, a soccer field, a beach volleyball court, and a skate park. The Brückenkopf Zoo, part of the park, is home to over 400 animals, including meerkats, white fallow deer, and Arctic wolves. The park is also established as an extracurricular learning center. From April to October, regular events such as markets, historical reenactments, and music performances take place. More information is available on the park’s website.
