Weihnachtsmarkt Düren

The Düren Christmas Market is located right in the city center. The setting between the festively decorated pedestrian zone and Düren’s sights offers a particularly wonderful Christmas atmosphere every year.

The large, decorated, and illuminated archways at the market entrances will let visitors know from afar that the Christmas market is here. The Christmas trees on the market itself are also decorated with string lights, making the market glow in a cozy light.

Besides Christmas items, sweet treats, and hot mulled wine or cocoa, there is also consideration for the younger visitors of the Christmas market! They are sure to look forward to the fantastic Christmas market carousel.

The Christmas market runs until December 23 on the marketplace, while the weekly market is moved to Kaiserplatz during this time. The market opens daily at 11 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., with the last hour from 9 to 10 p.m. being optional.

On December 20, there is a Sunday with shops open for sales from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Düren Christmas Market creates a festive atmosphere in the city during Advent and Christmas. Food and craft vendors present their products, and there is live music and other events on various days. The tradition of this Christmas market goes back to 1974.
