Description
Britzer Garten is a landscaped park that opened on July 8, 1989. It is an expansion and modernization of the former area used for the Federal Garden Show in 1985, created to offer residents in the southern part of West Berlin a new local recreation spot. The existing facilities and areas come from the repurposing efforts following the Federal Garden Show—for example, exhibition halls nearby were converted into sports halls.
