Description

Burg Reifferscheid is a fascinating castle ruin featuring visible remains of its ring wall, a gatehouse with two round defensive towers, and a white, round keep that serves as a lookout tower. From up here, you can enjoy an impressive view of the Eifel region from 470 meters high.

The castle has an exciting history dating back at least to 1106. It tells a story of medieval family life, sieges, and numerous redesigns – from the castle tower to baroque palace complexes to today's ruin. A rewarding destination for families wanting to experience history up close.
