Burgmuseum Grünwald

Burgmuseum Grünwald takes you on a journey through the long history of Grünwald Castle, a former Wittelsbach hunting lodge. You’ll discover castles from the Isar Valley and all over Bavaria – from medieval refuge castles to romantic knight’s castles.

At a variety of interactive stations, you can experience the Middle Ages come to life. There are special workshops, birthday parties, and tours for children, perfect for families with kids aged 5 and up.

Throughout the year, enjoy numerous family-friendly events like Easter egg hunts, fairy tale hours, torchlight walks, and beekeeping demonstrations. Since 2017, the castle’s own beehives produce Grünwald castle honey – be sure to try some during your visit! 🍯
