For kids, there is the interactive game app “Expedition Numismatika,” where they can explore the designs of German euro coins and become euro experts 🪙.

The exhibition “Money and Music” connects money and culture: banknotes with musical motifs come to life through a live cello quartet – bringing the music behind the portraits on the money to life.

As a highlight of the Long Night of Munich Museums, the collection displays over 2,000 coins and medals and invites visitors to try their hand at coin minting – a fun experience for all ages.

The special exhibition “The Sun King in Medals” shows how King Louis XIV staged his power with medals and immortalized his image.
