Deutsches Gartenbaumuseum
Description
Deutsches Gartenbaumuseum offers you an exciting glimpse into the world of garden art – all within a historic fortress in the egapark, a 36-hectare garden, plant, and leisure paradise.
The permanent exhibition “Garden! From paradise to the shopping shelf” takes you on a journey from blooming fantasies through practical gardening to space plants. Currently, the special exhibition “iga*61. The GDR through flowers” invites you to explore five themed areas about the 1961 International Horticultural Exhibition in Erfurt.
For children, there are creative birthday parties in inspiring historic buildings or in the greenhouse, as well as educational workshops and projects on gardening, floristry, and art.
Family-friendly events invite you to join in: from historic gardening methods to pumpkin cooking and guided tours through exciting garden history exhibitions – here you’ll find diverse experiences to discover nature together. 🌿
