Die Ruga

Die Ruga in Vienna is a place for tinkering, experimenting and inventing for children aged 6 to 13. Creative workshops and science and technology take center stage here, and something new is made out of old things.

In the Disassembly Workshop, children take apart an old electrical appliance, get inspired by the individual parts and design something new from them. If you like, bring a broken small appliance, such as a radio alarm clock, a hair dryer or a defective children's toy; otherwise, one will be provided. In the Upcycling Workshop, children build robots and mythical creatures 🤖 from waste and leftover materials. If possible, also bring small packaging, such as muesli boxes or cream cartons, to serve as building material.
