The Dr. Vogelgesang-Klamm draws you in with its dramatic, plunging water and a wild-romantic rocky gorge. 🌊
The gorge is the longest gorge in Upper Austria and the second longest in Austria, with over 1,5 km Schluchtweg (from the Kartenhaus) and about 500 wooden and stone steps – a partly airy, adventurous path along the rock face.
The route is suitable for families with small children and older fellow hikers, provided you are sure-footed and have hiking experience. Pets are warmly welcome, but they can have problems on the open wooden walkway. As a starting point the gorge works well for a roughly five-hour hut loop (Bosruckhütte, Rohrauerhaus, Hofalm); afterwards several huts invite you to a hearty homemade snack.
