Description

The legend of the dragon from the Retterschwanger Valley. The Venediger used to frequently fetch gold from the Retterschwanger Valley near Hindelang. But since they did not like to be disturbed by people, they involved a dragon in their business. The dragon had to guard the entrance and snarl at intruders until they turned back. In return, the Venediger promised him a share of the gold. However, they believed they could trick the good-natured dragon and instead of the promised gold gave him only a gold-colored, inferior metal. When the dragon noticed the deception, he changed his business practice; from then on he demanded a toll from people before letting them pass. Then the Venediger's uninterrupted work was over. They emigrated. It is said that the dragon got along much better with the ALLGÄUER afterwards...

... and now all children are allowed to experience many adventures with the peaceful dragon at the new Cucumaz playground. For example, when climbing on the large climbing dragon. The exciting slide and the zip line attract all adventurers for a fast ride. The little dragon friends also find a seesaw, a bird's nest, and two wooden huts for playing and romping around. The root cave is perfect for hiding, and after an eventful day with the Ostrachtaler dragon, a seating area with a table and benches invites you to enjoy a cozy snack.

You will find the Drachenspielplatz south of Bad Oberdorf. From the "Gruebplätzle" parking lot, cross the Ostrach bridge, then turn right and follow the river towards Hornbahn.
