Description

The Egon Schiele Geburtshaus offers a unique experience: with modern audio technology, visitors can discover many stories about the Schiele family at their own pace.

The authentic late 19th-century rooms, furnished with original furniture from around 1900, bring to life the atmosphere of a middle-class household from Egon Schiele's childhood.

At the end of the tour, an interactive reflection space provides fascinating insights into the living conditions of the Schiele family and what Tulln was like at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.

Especially for children and young teens in elementary and lower secondary grades, a specially designed comic accompanies an adventure tour through Egon Schiele's early life. The French illustrator Xavier Coste animates themes like 'Modern Technology', 'What Do I Want to Become', and 'Rules and Order', encouraging thought and discussion.

Through simple questions, children make their own decisions and experience Schiele's life from different perspectives – an interactive adventure that teaches knowledge in a playful way.
