Description
The Eibensee is a small, deep mountain lake in the Salzburg part of the Salzkammergut, at about 952 meters above sea level. It lies within the municipality of Sankt Gilgen, nestled in a basin between two mountain peaks.
- About 280 meters long and 175 meters wide
- Up to about 14 meters deep
- Surrounded by Eibenseekopf (1205 m) and Marienköpfl (1074 m)
- Drains via the Eibenseebach into the Fuschlsee
