Description

The Tannberg Rundweg is a half-day walk of about 11 km that leads you up to the 786 m high Tannberg – the state border between Salzburg and Upper Austria.

The starting point is the information board in the center of Lochen am See. The route passes through picturesque villages and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Salzburger Seenland and the neighboring Innviertel from the Gasthaus Tannberg. 🌳

The return route goes back through Petersham and Felbach to Lochen am See, mostly along paths through the forest. This trail is especially suitable for families looking for nature experiences whose children can already manage moderate half-day hikes – because the path is not stroller-friendly due to forest sections.
