Eine Zeitreise durch die Evolution - Evolutionsmuseum Schmiding

At the Evolutionsmuseum Schmiding you can go on a real journey of discovery – from the 9 meter high walk-in globe to life-size dinosaur models. Walk-through exhibits and large-scale models bring details of the primeval world close to children 🦖

The newly opened Center for Biodiversity (ab 29. März 2026) displays living animals alongside fossils and giants of the past and makes the diversity of life visible.

Display cases with beetles, butterflies, scorpions and millipedes as well as realistic dioramas show how diverse arthropods and habitats are. On request there are special group tours on the topic climate change as a trigger for evolution, ideal for school classes and curious families.
