The Story

Captain Harke was a notorious pirate in East Frisia. His home was Norderney, from where he set off on pirate voyages all around the world. He usually carried a treasure of gold with him. His brother Klaus Störtebeker from Marienhafe often accompanied him on his travels. One day they boarded the small town of Aurich and set up their pirate nest at the old harbor. But what happened then? A fierce storm arose and Harke fled Aurich.
