The Fabrik der Fäden Plauen invites you to an interactive, family-friendly, and multimedia exhibition that brings the history of the regional textile industry to life. Here you can try out hands-on multimedia stations to discover and learn how textile craftsmanship has shaped the region across generations.

Spread over more than 1000 m², the extensive permanent exhibition showcases the diverse history of the Vogtland textile and lace industry, as well as the lives and work of the people behind it. A 220 m² special exhibition area and a 125 m² storage space display the treasures of the collection in all their variety and elegance – under the motto “More than lace!”.

The museum combines historic monument preservation with modern minimalist design to create a welcoming atmosphere where old textile machines meet interactive experiences. The program is clearly aimed at families: there are special events like the Youth Museum Days or family-friendly themed tours, such as the Easter Walk 🍃.

A perfect place for the whole family to marvel, learn, and make exciting discoveries together.
