Findlingsgarten Königslutter

This geopoint north of Königslutter opens a window to Earth's geological past – a world to touch and understand. It is a collection of more than 300 Scandinavian and local glacial erratics. Nearly all come from a single find site near Königslutter.

During two Ice Ages, glaciers and inland ice masses from Northern Europe advanced over Königslutter and the Elm area up to the northern edge of the Harz Mountains.

Here in the Findlingsgarten Königslutter, a glacier-shaped landscape has been faithfully recreated – complemented by an Ice Age landscape and a historic forest. A forest adventure trail and playground complete the setting.
