Forum NaturFreundeJugend Berlin e.V. offers an impressive 1100 m² space in a former factory hall with the Kinder- und Jugendhalle Märkisches Viertel – including a heated sports and play hall of 800 m² that supports a wide range of activities.

You will find rooms for artistic, craft, musical, and computer-related activities, as well as a large 4000 m² outdoor area designed as an adventure play space with diverse offerings.

The focus is on educational programs that warmly invite children to engage with ecology, culture, and crafts and to actively participate in shaping their environment. The facility especially targets children of primary school age.

Since its origins as a citizen movement project in the 1960s and its opening in 1974, the Kinder- & Jugendhalle has also provided a school-based after-school program («Schüleretage») for supervised afternoon care.

Especially exciting: children and youth can actively take part in decisions during the monthly "Wednesday gathering," contributing their own ideas and projects – a space to support social and environmental engagement around urban life issues.
