Description
The Fränkisches Freilandmuseum Fladungen showcases rural daily life from the past 350 years in Lower Franconia and the Rhön region. Spread over 12 hectares, you can discover about 30 historically accurate reconstructed buildings – including farms, craft workshops, and a village school.
Explore a living cultural landscape with gardens, orchards, and traditional farm animal breeds. Here you can experience traditional crafts up close – through hands-on courses, demonstrations, and exciting events.
The Rhön-Zügle runs through the picturesque Streutal valley with steam and diesel locomotives. History is felt here with all your senses, for example during guided tours, workshops, or relaxed walks around the museum grounds.
For children aged 6 to 10 years, there are kid-friendly rallies that make the museum especially fun. Additionally, the AdventsZeit season offers special highlights: children’s theater and a gospel concert bring a festive atmosphere.
