Freibad Altkirchen

Freibad Altkirchen offers fun for all ages in a spacious facility with a 50 × 20 m pool. The swimming and non-swimming pools are separate, and there is also a separate paddling pool for the little ones. The water slide leading into the non-swimmer pool is especially popular.

Large lawns spread over 1.3 hectares with sunny and shady spots invite you to relax. Numerous benches and seating areas provide cozy breaks. For activity and play, there is a volleyball court, table tennis, and a playground with a swing, sandbox, seesaw, slide, and a pirate ship climbing frame.

The offerings include a variety of rentals such as deck chairs, balls, diving masks, rings, and fins. A kiosk serves fries, grilled dishes, ice cream, coffee, cake, beer, and soft drinks. Additionally, an ice cream truck rings by once or twice a day to provide you with a sweet cool-down.

You can also take swimming lessons with experienced coaches in a relaxed setting at the outdoor pool. Special events regularly take place, such as night swimming and festivals, adding extra fun to your swim. A support association helps maintain and develop the facility and organizes community events.
