Freizeitzentrum Peterberg

The highlight remains the summer toboggan run, where you are first transported in a few minutes by a modern lift system to the 584 m high mountain peak. On the way down, everyone can control their speed with the brake to decide how fast they want to go. Speeds up to 40 km/h are possible. Twin bobs are also available, so little ones can slide together with a parent or older sibling.

In spring 2016, the new themed playground "Druidendorf" opened, which, with its natural construction style and unique appearance, resembles a Celtic village. The centerpiece of this exceptional playground is the “Druidenburg,” a combined structure of towers, huts, bridges, ropes, nets, and climbing paths. A triple swing, a cart with a hammock or swing net, and a sand play area with play huts and seesaws for toddlers provide a very high play value.

Use of the playground is free of charge.

From the opposite outdoor terrace of the bistro, parents have a good view of their children playing. The bistro offers light meals and drinks, and visitors can spread out their blankets on the large sunbathing lawn. Thanks to the enhanced recreational value, professional infrastructure, and park-like landscape, Freizeitzentrum Peterberg has developed into a full-day excursion destination in northern Saarland, especially appreciated by families!
