Description

The Gaudnek-Museum features a diverse collection of paintings, drawings, watercolors, collages, assemblages, objects, sculptures, scrigraphs, and posters. Highlights include the Theater in a Suitcase and an impressive archive of photos and documents.

Visitors can explore works from numerous exhibitions such as “Mars Scrolls,” “The Modern Chapel,” “Neo China,” and “Art for the Millennium.”

The museum is named after Dr. Walter Gaudnek, a master student of the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, a Fulbright scholar, and former professor at the University of Central Florida. He was honored with the Citizen’s Medal of the community of Altomünster and the 3rd prize at the 2015 Florence Biennale for his video installation “Cross Glyphs” in recognition of his cultural contributions.

Guided tours for groups of 10 to 15 people are available by appointment – a great chance to experience the museum more closely.
