Gemüsetörn (27 Km)

The tour starts at the historic marketplace in Glückstadt. From there, you head through the charming town center to the picturesque inland harbor, where small boats gently rock back and forth. Just before the floodgate, turn right to reach the Elbe dike. You cycle past the Rhinplate nature reserve to the well-known ferry terminal that connects Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony by ferry. A few more kilometers along the dike bring you to the Stör floodgate. Instead of the Elbe river, now you are deep inland! Here, many farm shops with delicious fruits and vegetables await hungry cyclists. On the way through the countryside, you'll be accompanied alternately by the Kremper Au, the Stör, and countless drainage channels. To be ready for the final stretch of the tour, consider stopping in Elskop to enjoy some tasty homemade ice cream. Refreshed, you then head back to Glückstadt, where you can unwind and end the day cozy in one of the many local eateries.
