Description

Glasmuseum Passau is the largest museum in the world dedicated exclusively to Bohemian glass. In the historic rooms of the old town, you will find an impressive collection of over 30,000 glass objects, with around 17,000 on display.

Across 25 rooms, you can experience the history of glassmaking from 1650 to 1950. Along the way, you’ll encounter fascinating pieces from various historical art styles including Baroque, Empire, Biedermeier, Classicism, Historicism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Modernism.

The museum is housed in a historic building, providing a culturally rich atmosphere for anyone passionate about glass art. A special highlight in its history was its opening, which was honored by the presence of US astronaut Neil Armstrong as a guest of honor. 🏛️
