Description

The Gösting Burgruine on a narrow rocky spur gives children a real sense of adventure and a wide view over the Grazer Becken and the eastern Styrian hills. The ascent is family-friendly – the ruin is only reachable on foot, about 30 minutes from Göstinger Schlossplatz, and rewards you with an impressive panoramic view. 🏰

The site dates from the 11th century (first mentioned in 1042) and invites children to discover history: There is a three-story chapel St. Anna, a small museum in the keep, a cistern and a five-sided tower. Short detours for a family walk include the Jungfernsprung and the Cholerakapelle nearby. 🔭
