Grönenbergpark

Description
A visit is worthwhile in every season with a tree nature trail, ponds, a wildlife enclosure, and bird aviaries. A mini-golf course, an adventure playground, tennis courts, and an indoor riding arena attract both young and old.
Other interesting stops in old Lower Saxony half-timbered houses in the park:
- the Lower Saxony State Gymnastics School
- the Local History Museum / Grönegau Museum
Located on the home farm of the Grönenberg, the Grönegau Museum offers visitors beautiful objects and items from many historical periods representing both rural and urban culture. As the museum's sponsor, the Melle Local History Association is always committed to collecting old museum objects and displaying them to show future generations how our ancestors lived. The "Kornspeicher" museum complex houses valuable materials, certificates, documents, and pictures. On three floors, there are also folkloric collections of rural textiles, traditional costumes, dresses, skirts, blouses, aprons, and old urban furniture, porcelain, silver, jewelry, religious writings of both denominations and church property, as well as pictures and photos of beautiful old houses and notable personalities from Melle.
In 1979, the Osnabrück district made another building, the so-called Kotten, available to the local history association for museum purposes. The Kotten mainly contains old tools, as well as rural and craft-use items and work equipment that became obsolete through technological progress.
Since 1989, a 16th-century bakehouse has enriched the museum complex.
In 1997, a half-timbered structure designed as a coach house was added.
