Hamburger Puppentheater

Flachsland – Hamburger Puppentheater is Hamburg’s only puppet theater. From September to May/June, a diverse program is presented featuring guest performances from Hamburg, Germany, and abroad.

The new season revolves around the theme “Living Spaces” and invites you to explore spaces for meeting, exchange, togetherness, movement, and artistic reflection. In the foyer, you’ll find the interactive exhibition “Living in a Square” by the collective Schroffke!, inviting all visitors to join in.

For the little guests from 2 to 5 years old, the play “Rawums (:)” by Florschütz & Döhnert is performed. For adults from 15 years old, the theater also offers exciting theatrical moments with the evening program “Toccata” by Figurentheater Wilde & Vogel.

Since 2013, the theater has operated as a private venue without its own ensemble, presenting about 170 performances a year. With a newsletter, you can always stay informed about the current program, workshops, and news – especially family and evening events.
