Description

The Hasičské muzeum Kočí is dedicated to the history of firefighting. It was founded in 2002 by a group of colleagues who wanted to save old fire engines and gear that some local brigades planned to scrap, and its collection now traces fire protection from the early 19th century onward.

Step inside more than 524 square meters of indoor exhibits and discover historic fire vehicles, including the Tatra 613, Praga V3S, ZIL 130 and Robur LO 3000.

Visitors can also explore:

  • Helmets, axes, hoses and uniforms, both historical and modern
  • Interwar fire technology made between 1914 and 1945
  • Post-war fire machines made after 1945, plus fire trailers and related equipment

The museum is suitable for children as well as adults, so the whole family can see how firefighting has changed over the decades.
