Description

Heilwigpark is a 0.5-hectare public green space in Hamburg's Harvestehude district, located right where the Isebek Canal flows into the Alster. It was created around 1900 along with the surrounding residential area and, like the nearby Heilwigstraße, is named after Heilwig von der Lippe, the founder of the convent Herwardeshude that once stood in this area.
