Description

The Hennesee in Sauerland is a popular destination with clear water and a wide range of recreational opportunities. 🌞 On hot days, three designated swimming areas offer plenty of space to cool off and splash around.

During the summer break in North Rhine-Westphalia, families can enjoy a varied holiday program featuring a pirate treasure hunt, exciting city tours, open-air cinema, bat safaris, readings, escape games, open studios, and lots of sports in the park. Especially attractive is the offer at Fort Fun Adventure Land, where children under 12 can stay overnight for free in some partner accommodations.

Besides outdoor adventures, there are exclusive tours like the dam tour, where visitors can discover the technology inside the dam and learn more about the work of the Ruhr Association – the tour begins with a film.

Additionally, off-road bus tours through Bestwig and Meschede provide exciting insights into the region with four interesting sights and their local stories.

As a protected drinking water reservoir area, Hennesee asks its guests to help protect nature – for example, by combating the invasive quagga mussel.
