Description

Herminghauspark has been a popular destination in the heart of Velbert for about 100 years. The main paths are lit, comfortable benches invite you to relax, and easy walkways make a stroll a pleasure. Two modern and accessible restrooms allow for a full-day visit in the park.

The animal enclosure and a mini golf course complete the offerings. Another highlight is the 1.2 km circular trail with eleven play stations designed to engage the senses (based on Hugo Kükelhaus). There is a large playground with water features that provide refreshment, especially on hot days.

With many domestic animals, some from endangered breeds, and a large petting meadow, the animal enclosure is loved by both young and old. The big timber-framed barn allows you to watch the animals even in bad weather.

On the 4,500 m² adventure playground, everything revolves around the element "water." A mud zone for the little ones, a lighthouse slide, a one-mast-shaped climbing structure, and numerous water stations invite visitors of all ages to play, experiment, and explore.
