Description

Höllriegel-Park in Pullach in the Isar Valley is a landscape garden located in the Höllriegelskreuth district. It was created in the mid-19th century by stonemason and master builder Franz Höllriegel at his then estate, now known as the Brückenwirt. Several elements, now mostly overgrown in the forest on the slope of the river terrace, represent the preserved parts. The park and its structures are protected monuments, and any restoration or even approximation to the original condition is made complicated because the riverbanks and hillside forest lie within the Upper Isar Valley FFH area, where any clearing of the forest, even partial, is prohibited.
